- The Plant Quarantine Act B.E. 2507 (1964):
- This law requires that plants and plant parts being imported or exported must undergo inspection by the Plant Quarantine Station of the Department of Agriculture (DOA).

- Inspection and Destruction: If a severe pest is detected, the plant may be ordered to be destroyed or returned to the country of origin to prevent an internal outbreak. Violators may face imprisonment and/or fines under the Plant Quarantine Act.
